Vikhroli- Someone once said ‘Age is just a number’. This axiom fits for 103 years old Dagdu Bhambre who will be participating in Mumbai Marathon. Nashik resident Bhambre is planing to run 4kms.
You must be wondering how he keeps himself healthy at this age. Well, he gives the credit to his diet and regular exercise. “I feel good when I run. From the start, I have been doing exercise. I don’t sit in one place but I go for a walk for 2-3 km. See, running helps one to maintain one’s health. I will advise youngsters to eat proper food and do regular exercise. I felt like running with youngsters and so I thought of participating in the marathon,” said Dagdu Bhambre. His daughter Mrunalini Amrutkar said that she feels proud of his father. “My father is participating in the marathon and I am very proud of him. Though he is 103 years old, he is still healthy as he follows a good diet,” said Bhambre’s daughter.
Grandfather has proved that nothing is impossible and if one is determined he can move mountains as well.
