The Mumbai District Football Association Super league matches were played on Sunday at the Goans ground. In the match against Bombay Gymkhana, young turks of Air India U 19 team beat Bombay gymkhana 3-1 on Sunday. Played under hot and humid conditions, Air India showed great stamina throughout the match.
Air India were in trouble early on as Yash Vanveru was shown the red card for a hard tackle. But Bombay Gymkhana could not take advantage of this and conceded a goal. Air India continued their onslaught with 10 men and scored two more goals to take an unassailable 3-0 lead and ultimately a victory by 3-1.
Adnan Yaligar and Advait Shinde scored for Air India. Hormuz Bana scored the consolation goal for Bombay Gymkhana.
