Ajit Agarkar named chairman of Mumbai selection committee

Former Indian pacer, Ajit Agarkar has been appointed as the chairman of Mumbai Cricket Association's selection committee. Agarkar will head the selection committee for senior and Under-23 set up. Other members joining the panel are Nilesh Kulkarni, Jatin Paranjape and Sunil More. Agarkar has played 110 first-class matches, he made his debut against Gujarat in 1996-97. Agarkar bagged 288 scalps in ODIs and he was indeed a useful all-rounder. 

Agarkar holds the Indian record of scoring fastest fifty. He scored 50 off 21 balls. Agarkar will take over from Milind Rege. Meanwhile Rajesh Pawar has been appointed as the chairman of U-19 set up.
