American former heavyweight boxer — Mike Tyson — will be touring India as a part of the upcoming Kumite 1 League tour. The former boxing heavyweight champion will be in Mumbai on September 29.

Iron Mike will be coming to Mumbai as the city will be hosting the first-ever Kumite 1 League match.

Alongside, Mohammed Budhwani, the founder of the Kumite 1 League will be visiting to promote the International Mixed Martial Arts League which will be organised by Mixed Martial Arts Federation.

Mike Tyson is functioning as the consultant of the league. The newly introduced league did not have a face which it could promote but now Mike Tyson will be representing the league. Besides, Mike is a former boxer and after Mohd. Ali, Mike has been the face of boxing. Thus, we have signed him,” said Mohammed Budhwani, Kumite 1 League Founder.

Tyson reigned as the undisputed world heavyweight champion and holds the record as the youngest boxer to win a heavyweight title at 20 years, four months and 22 days old. He was well known for his ferocious and intimidating boxing style as well as his controversial behaviour inside and outside the ring.

The debut league consists of eight teams, which will be represented by different countries. Each team will have nine fixtures, and amongst which, two of them will involve women’s matches. Budhwani claims that the League will go on to be the World Cup for Mixed-Martial Art.
