Mumbai – The scheduled test series between the England Cricket Team and the Indian Cricket Team will be held despite financial restrictions put on the BCCI by the Lodha Committee, said sources in the English Cricket Board. In case the ECB cancels the tour, the BCCI may lose Rs 50 crore per test match.
Justice Lodha Committee has stressed that the BCCI would be held responsible if the test series against England is canceled. The committee is not ready to relax the restrictions till BCCI chief Anurag Thakur and secretary Ajay Shirke do not submit their affidavit in the Supreme Court. The SC had direction the BCCI to clearly state how much time it requires to implement the recommendation of the Lodha Committee. The BCCI has been given time till 5th November to submit its reply in the apex court.
