Car rally for Visually impaired

Worli- The 11th Edition of the Blind Man Car Rally, an Annual Initiative by Round Table India (RTI) Mumbai, was organized on 12th February 2017 Blind Man Car Rally (BMR) a unique car rally in which drivers are navigated by visually impaired.
The rally covered a distance of 30 km in Mumbai and was flagged by Mr. Sohail Khan (Indian Actor), The navigators decode the rally route in Braille script and give directions to the driver from NSCI Club, Worli. The rally witnessed 100 participating drivers along with over 100 visually impaired navigators navigating the streets of South Mumbai
RTI’s endeavor’s to provide education to the underprivileged Children. The funds generated this year through our flagship event the Blind Man Rally will be used to support and address the need of 6 schools impacting more than 3000 underprivileged children.
Mukund Ranganathan along with his navigator Tirth Singh Arora took the pole position. The second position was claimed by Vishal Jhunjhunwala & navigator Hitesh Borale. The third position was taken by Vaibhav Sachdev & navigator Shahbaz Khan.
The rally is designed to create general awareness about the day to day challenges faced by visually impaired people, along with creating awareness about key issues & development affecting the common man. The Theme for this year was “Go Cashless”. Participants displayed their views through some creative messages, promoting the theme. The funds raised through this rally will be used for the education of the underprivileged.
