Churchgate- Central Zone won a close match against North Zone as they won by a narrow margin of 4 runs at the Wankhede stadium. Batting first Central Zone put up a decent total of 167/7 in 20 overs. Naman Ojha and Mahesh Rawat contributed with the bat. A target of 168 was not too big for the North Zone which boasts of players like Shikhar Dhawan, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh and Rishab Pant. After a decent start, leggie Karn Sharma wrecked havoc as he picked up the top 3 batsman. North Zone could not recover but a late onslot by Yuvraj and Manpreet Gony almost got them past the chequered flag. But North Zone fell short of 4 runs.
Earlier East Zone beat South Zone by 6 wickets. East Zone opted to field after winning the toss and restricted South Zone to 178/6. Mayank Agarwal and Vinay Kumar scored half centuries each, but it was Manoj Tiwary who picked up an unlikely 3/41. East Zone lost an early wicket but Ishank Jaggi who made 90 and Saurabh Tiwary took on the bowlers and helped East Zone reach the target in the last over.
