Bandra- The visually impaired Indian cricket team beat South Africa by 9 wickets yesterday at the MCA grounds at Bandra Kurla Complex.
Batting first the Proteas made 157/8 with David Laundry scoring 42. The Indian fielding was superb as they executed 4 run outs.
India comfortably managed to score 158 in just 13.5 over with Mohammed Farhan and Iqbal Jafar scoring half centuries each, though India was also helped with some wayward South African bowling as they conceded 26 extas.
India take on Sri Lanka today at Motera, Ahmedabad.
In the other encounters, Pakistan beat Nepal by 10 wickets, Bangladesh beat New Zealand by a 90 runs, Sri Lanka beat England by a huge margin of 103 runs and Australia beat West Indies by 10 wickets.
Sri lankan Suranga Sampat scored a mammoth 164 of just 73 balls against England , where as Bangladeshi Md Abdul Malek scored a rampaging 180 of 71 balls against New Zealand.
