The R A Podar college hosted the Indian Open Bouldering Championships over the weekend. This event was organized by Girivihar, one of the oldest mountaineering clubs in Mumbai.
Bouldering is a form of rock climbing where the athlete climbs on boulders or rock formation, usually measuring less than 20 feet.
New Delhi-based Adarsh Singh and Mumbai’s Siddhi Manerikar bagged the men and women titles.
Bouldering will make its olympic debut at Tokyo in 2020. Mumbai still has some time to catch up with this adrenaline push.
