Mumbai- International chess player Sameer Kathmale managed to draw a match against top seed Sandipan Chanda in the second round of IIFL Wealth Mumbai International Chess Tournament currently being held in the city.
Though Sandip was on stronger ground, Sameer played a good game and gave a tough fight. 10 year old C M Gukesh too played a good game. With an ELO rating of 2236, he put up a brave fight to his senior opponent GM Horvath (ELO 2501) and matched him move for move before the two decided to agree on a draw.
