Dongri- An inter-school rubber ball cricket tournament was arranged by BMC and Salaam Bombay foundation. This tournament has been organised for girl students from the Municipal schools all over Mumbai since 2008.
This time this competition was held at the Municipal school ground at Dongri.
15 teams took part in this competition with participants from the age group of 11 years to 15 years from municipal schools all over Mumbai.
On Wednesday Abhuday Nagar Municipal School, Curry Road, and Meghraj Shetty Municipal school, Byculla won their matches and booked their place in the semi finals. The finals will be played on Saturday.
The BMC and Salaam Bombay Foundation has given an opportunity for the girls to be known for ther extra ciricular activities apart from studies.
