Mumbai - Maharashtra's Jai Kawali has been elected as the general secretary of Indian wrestler federation while Ajay Singh has been selected as the president. Ajay Singh got 49 votes while his opponent Rohit Jain could get only 15. Jai Kawali defeated his opponent Leni Dinama by 36 votes with latter getting only 12 votes. The third candidate, Haryana's Rakesh Thakran was left far behind with just 4 votes. After this election, it is believed that the game which was dominated by Haryana till now will see fresh talent from Maharashtra as well, in future.
