Empowerment with a 'Sakhi Marathon'

Ghatkopar- On Sunday ' a Sakhi Marathon' was organised by the Prajapati Bhramkumari organisation at Acharya Atre Maidan.
The Sakhi Marathon started at 7 am from Patang Nagar and culminated at Acharya Atre Maidan. The participants ran for the 4 km run, in which Varsha Bhavri stood first, Sonia Walklane came second, and Madhuri Deshmukh came in third. The trophies were presented to the winners by TV actor Sharad Malhotra, who is currently acting as the lead in TV serial ‘Kasam’ on Colors TV.
More than 250 women took part in this Marathon. Participants were also given meditation training and a medical camp was also organised for the women, who availed of the camp in large numbers.
