SC Railways win Bombay Gold Cup

Churchgate - South Central Railways, Sikanderabad won the Bombay Gold hockey cup, beating Punjab National Bank 4-3 on Wednesday at the Mahindra stadium, Churchgate.

In the fifth minute of the game, PNB 's Bhagat Singh scored a goal, while in 12th minute, SC Railways' Sanjeep scored a goal. Gangandip from PNB scored a goal and the scoreboard was at 2-1, when Gagandip responded with a goal in the 55th minute of the game. PNB were unable to score any more goals and had to be content with a narrow defeat. SC Railways' Sushant Tirkee was adjudged Best Goalkeeper of the tournament, while the Best player award was bagged by P. R. Aiyappa from the same team.
