St. Paul’s SC ‘B’, powered by the two superb goals from striker Amit Sangwan went on to record a comfortable 3-1 win against Chembur YMCA in a Third Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association League 2016-2017, and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel.
After Mahadev Kondulkar had provided St. Paul’s win a dream start by scoring the opening goal in the very 3rd minute. Ten minutes later, Sangwan scored his first goal to double St. Paul’s lead and early in the second period he was again on target scoring the team’s third goal to seal the win and the three points. Chembur YMCA managed to pull one back through Nagraj Poojary’s strike midway through the second half.
