Mumbai- The U 19 Indian cricket team played its hearts out to secure a tie in the 5th ODI against the English U 19 side.

England batted first and made 226/9 in their 50 overs with off break bowler Ayush Jamwal picking 3/40. It was thought that India would have a cakewalk chasing 227 but they were in for a surprise.

At one point India were 137/7. But an eighth wicket partnership of 65 runs helped India inch closer and the match entered a crucial phase. It went down the wire from then on however, and the match ended up a tie as Ishant Porel was caught off the last ball.

Though India won the series 3-1, it was an exciting series for the English side playing in Indian conditions. The success of this Indian U 19 side is also credited to star coach Rahul Dravid, who seems to have rubbed off some of his legacy on the youngsters.
