In the final, Fadte was up against Chaitanya who emerged as a force to reckon with after shocking everyone with an exceptional performance in the semifinal when he defeated the top seed and India No.1 Tushar Shahani in an epic four-game thriller.

Coming from a hard fought victory against the second seed Rahul Baitha, Yash who is known as one of the fittest Junior players on the circuit did not let fatigue hamper his final match. Yash won the opening game 11-8 and had it even easier in the second as he wrapped up the game at 11.6.

Chaitanya, however, bounced back in the contest when he won the third game at 11-9 but Fadte shrugged off the setback and won the game 11-5 eventually taking home the championship by 11-8, 11-6, 9-11, 11-5 margin.

When asked about his sensational Victory he said, " I have been playing Chaitanya in finals since I was 10 and have a long history with him. He has always been a worthy opponent and with the kind of form, he has shown by beating the top seed Tushar I knew I had a big task ahead of me. I kept things simple and made Chaitanya work around the court tiering him which made things easier for me.
