Acer has unveiled three new true wireless earphones (TWS) in the heavily crowded earbuds segment in India, aiming to strike a chord with the masses. While two earphones will be marketed under the Acer brand, the third variant will be a premium offering sold under Acer’s Gateway moniker.
Starting with the high-end earphones, the Gateway GAHR012 offers a sleek look coupled with a white vinyl finish. It also offers passive noise cancellation, touch/tap control, among other features. Acer mentions that the GAHR012 has a standby time of 24 hours, while fully recharging itself in 1.5 hours using the onboard USB C port. However, the company didn’t provide information on battery life.

The charging case of the GAHR012 also has a “Current Battery Display” showing the battery status of the earbuds as well as the case. Unsurprisingly, the earbuds and the charging case look an awful lot like the Apple AirPods Pro. The Acer Gateway GAHR012 is currently retailing on Amazon and Flipkart for ₹3,499.
Moving onto the remaining earphones, Acer is marketing these are budget-oriented offerings, although the company hasn’t made any compromises in terms of features. Known as the Acer GAHR010 and GAHR011, these earphones have a translucent cover that clearly shows the LED digital screen and the battery status.
Similar to the GAHR012, these earphones will have a standby time of 24 hours and a recharging time of 1.5 hours. However, there are some key differences in the charging port offered on the two earphones. While the GAHR010 will rely on a USB C port, the GAHR011 has both USB A and USB C connectivity, offering the best of both worlds in many respects.
These two earphones are available for purchase via Flipkart, Amazon, as well as Acer’s online store for ₹2,999. Interestingly, both Amazon and Flipkart are already offering a ₹500 discount on the two earbuds, bringing the cost down to ₹2,499.
