Mumbai – The Indian Railways has decided to provide free wi-fi service for all Western and Central Railway suburban commuters by 2018. The PMO has reportedly intervened in this connection. In the first phase, the high-speed wi-fi (45 MBPS) will be made available for commuters travelling in suburban as well as Express trains such as Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto Express. The speed of the wi-fi internet service will reduce after the first 30 minutes of usage.
