In the last few days, everyone on social media, be it on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat, is talking about Sarahah, an app that allows users to send anonymous messages to others registered with the app.

The hype around this app has spread like wildfire and everyone is talking about it. The key feature of ‘Sarahah’ is that it doesn't reveal the identity of the sender of the message at any given cost. So basically, one can write anything about the other person and get away with it as the messages will be anonymous.

It's available for both Android and iOS users. The app hit both Google Play Store and App Store, and in absolutely no time, the app has become one of the top trending apps with over millions of downloads.

Sarahah was introduced by a Saudi Arabian developer - Zain al-Abidin Tawfiq. It was an instant hit among youngsters. It gives people a platform to voice their true opinion about others without any limitations and inhibitions as your identity will never be revealed. Not really sure if that’s a positive thing.

Sarahah is an Arabic term that means honesty and blunt honesty is what one can expect here.

Sarahah is a perfect application for two kinds of people - for narcissistic people who believe that the world revolves around them and for people who get pleasure out of abusing and harassing people online.

Not sure exactly how this application is a progressive contribution to the world but well, it is currently trending and people are obsessing over it. Remember the confessions page which took Facebook by a storm a few years ago? Expect this trend to die out like the former did in some time.
