The association between Colors TV and Ekta Kapoor has been successful and loved for many years now. The reigning queen of TV soaps, Ekta, is known to introduce and experiment with concepts which bring something new to the television screen. After enjoying success with Naagin (all the seasons), she is all set to bring two new shows - Kawach Mahashivratri and Bepannah Pyaarr  - on the channel, with an aim to win the hears again.

Talking about the same, she said, "Kawach is the second season of a very popular show, and Manisha (from Colors) wanted to do a second season because the first season received an excellent response. This is probably the most exciting second season of any of the shows I have done on television. I hope the audience likes it because it is not similar to the previous season. Bepannah Pyaarr, on the other hand, is actually is a love story which is written with many thriller elements, which will be seen throughout the show. We were discussing to do a nice thriller, which is missing from the television space. It will make you come back day after day, to know what happens, due to the twist. This is the first show which I have done from the point of view of a man, and it is the most important character of the show."

Kawach Mahashivratri stars Deepika Singh, Namik Paul and Vin Rana in the lead roles. The series will be on air over the weekends and will replace Colors TV's popular show, Naagin. Bepannah Pyaarr stars Pearl V Puri and Ishita Singh in the lead roles and will air on weekdays.

Talking about her show, Deepika said, “I will be seen playing the role of Sandhya, a loving and caring daughter. She is a rational person, who is god-fearing but has no faith in supernatural elements and superstitions until she has a tryst with it herself. This is a very different genre from what I have done before. I’m grateful for this opportunity and I’m sure the show will grab the attention of our viewers from the first episode.”

Sharing a thought about his show, Pearl V Puri, added, “I’m thrilled to be a part of a refreshing story like Bepanah Pyaarr. It is a quintessential love story but with a twist. I will be seen as Raghbir, who has gone into a shell because of the mysterious death of his wife Baani. Adding various shades to my character is a challenge I’m hoping to overcome."

While Kawach Mahashivratri will be on air starting 25 May, 2019, Bepanah Pyaarr will start on June 3, 2019.
