I'm glad I could overcome my fear of electric shocks: Rani Chatterjee

Popular actress from Bhojpuri industry, Rani Chatterjee, was the first to be eliminated from Colors TV's Khatron Ke Khiladi 10. In an interview with the media, she shares her journey and experience of being on the show and experiencing something new.

The new season of Colors TV's Khatron Ke Khiladi 10 has been loved by the audience and this shows clearly in the TRP charts released by BARC this week. This season has brought many popular faces to test their fears and among them is Bhojpuri actress, Rani Chatterjee, who became the first contestant to be eliminated from the show.

In an interaction with the media, Rani shared her journey, fear, passion, upcoming projects and more. Here's the excerpt...

On being asked about her first thought on being eliminated, she said, "Everybody, including me, is shocked when I was eliminated. In reality, I'm a strong person and the image I've developed in my part of the industry is that of an action heroine. Nobody expected me to get eliminated out of Khatron Ke Khiladi, but unfortunately, my journey ends here."

Sharing her experience of being on the show, she added, "It was wonderful as I did a lot of things which I have never done in my life. I was new to the team and experiencing something so big, in a new location, will always be memorable. I have always been scared of electric shocks and I never wanted to be in a task which has this aspect. But unfortunately, the first stunt I did was that. Despite being eliminated, I'm glad I could overcome the fear, on the show. The host of the show, Rohit Shetty, who is more of a friend, supported everyone always, through the tasks. He always asked us to complete the stunts by facing fear. "

Talking about who she things have the potential to be in the top, Rani said, "Looking at the tasks now, Dharmesh and Karan Patel are strong and have been performing well, They have the potential to be in the top 2. However, I can't say who is weak. The contestants are popular and everyone is scared of something, but they are strong and are facing their fear, which is the best part of the show."

Rani has started showing interest in fitness and answering about the new passion, she quoted, "I have been in the industry for the last 16-17 years and I was never active in terms of fitness. People told me that I was fat, but on a random day, I thought I should focus on myself. It was a thought which I had within, and hence I started working out and upon noticing the results, I started loving myself more. My work was becoming a routine and I wanted to bring a change and hence I started working on myself."

Concluding the conversation by sharing her upcoming projects, Rani said, "I'm doing a web series which will release in April. It is a work like never before and the character is bold. I hope people like this too. Talking about Bollywood, it is still a dream. I'm hardworking and always give my best to every character I get. I hope someday soon, I get an offer to work in Bollywood."
