Mumbai-based Euphony Band impresses IGT Judges in their 1st performance

First impression is the last impression, they say. Going by this adage, Euphony Band is all set to have a dream run on India’s Got Talent Season 9.

Euphony, a group of 8 members from Mumbai, Maharashtra paved its way to this season of India’s Got Talent. The band performed to the classic compilation of ‘Khoya Khoya Chand’ and 'Roop Tera Mastana' by the legendary composer and singers like S. D. Burman, Mohmmad Rafi and Kishore kumar which impressed the judges that comprise of eminent personalities from the bollywood entertainment industry like Kirron Kher, Shilpa Shetty, Manoj Muntashir and Badshah on the very first telecast of the episode aired on Sony entertainment television.

The band’s rendition of ‘Khoya Khoya Chand' and 'Roop Tera Mastana', was of course, not straightforward. As is the case with the kind of music they have come up in the past, it had several interesting elements including Vocal Harmonies, Flute, Beatbox and a Rap section. They gave this classic Bollywood melody a fresh spin and made it as one of their own! 

Talking about the appreciation for their first performance, Shilpa Shetty started with a Hunar Salaam and dropped her shoes on the floor as a form of respect to the band further Badshah complemented them by saying, they are like wine, with time they are getting better, ended up receiving a YES from individual judges from the panel.

As the Band Leader of Euphony Official, Sanish Nair says, “Since it was our first performance on the show, we were a little nervous but by God’s grace, it was received very well by the judges. Each of the four judges had some nice things to say about our performance which boosted our morale. We had a good start and now, we hope the rest of the journey proves to be as fruitful and rewarding.”

Euphony Band has performed in several popular reality shows in the past. They were the 1st runners-up of the musical reality show ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’ which was aired on Star Plus and had delivered a special performance at the finale of Kaun Banega Crorepati 9. They made their Bollywood debut with their original song ‘Teri Zindagi’ which was used in the Kajol starrer ‘Helicopter Eela’. 

Formed in the year 2015, Euphony Official comprises of Sanish Nair (Vocalist), Bhavesh Sharma (Beat boxer), Ravikiran Nannaware (Flautist), Siddharth Kulkarni (Keyboardist), Aditya Kale (Vocalist), Omkar Rasal (Drummer), Joshua Rajan (Bass Guitarist) and Rupesh Shirsat (Lead Guitarist).
