Sony SAB's announces its launch of the year ‘HERO - Gayab Mode On’. The show promises to be packed with the power of invisibility as a distinctive element and is said to be a pure visual delight for the audience.

The story revolves around an incredible journey of a common man, Veer (Abhishek Nigam) and his quest to find his father. His life gets fascinatingly exciting as Veer chances upon a miraculous ring, which upon wearing gives him the power of invisibility. The ring can only be worn and owned by someone who has the inherent virtues of kindness, courage, selflessness, nobility and empathy. At the same time, it also has the power to corrupt and degrade the weak-hearted making them vicious. But Veer decides to use this superpower for good, making him the HERO. However, Veer’s prized possession is also desired by the evil aliens of the outer world and here begins HERO’s real challenge to save humanity.

The show introduces Abhishek Nigam in the lead role of Veer who will be joined with Manish Wadhwa as Amal Nanda, Ajay Gehi as Shukracharya, the gorgeous Yesha Rughani as Zaara, Nitish Pandey as Mama and the super-cute twins Surabhi and Samriddhi as sisters Sweety & Meethi along with a host of other stars in the show's galaxy.

Talking about the show and his role, Abhishek said, "As an actor, I like to do complete justice to the role I am playing. In Hero- Gayab Mode On, my character, Veer, is of a stunts double in movies whereas, the superhero role also requires me to do a lot of stunts. I wanted to do all my stunts by myself and make my characters look as real as possible.I have always been into athletics as I am a former tennis player and also used to dance. However, because of my studies, I had to put a brake on all of my extra activities and hobbies. Now, here came the challenge – since I have not been a very active sportsperson, I have lost my flexibility and strength to a certain extent. When I got this role, my first aim was to get that back. For the same, and to take it to another level, I have been learning flips, kickboxing and parkour.”

Sharing his thought about the new launch, Neeraj Vyas, Business Head – Sony SAB, said, “We at Sony SAB have always endeavoured to create shows that leave a lasting impact on the minds of the viewers. The stories that we weave, the characters that we create, are all rooted in our deep understanding of our ever-evolving audience and their developing tastes in entertainment. With Hero – Gayab Mode On, we are upping the ante with the introduction of an interesting new character - a superhero; supported by a brilliant star cast, in a perfect amalgamation of science fiction backed by state-of-art production. It gives us immense pleasure in bringing to our audience a story that is full of hope and heart, a story which the entire family can enjoy together.”

The show is being filmed on an impressive set offering an entire alien spaceship interior with all hi-tech features like sliding doors, long spaceship corridors, round monitors and giant chairs amongst other elements.  HERO – Gayab Mode On is slated to launch on December 7, 2020.
