TV Actor Ali Merchant was awarded the Times Hospitality Icons Award for India’s Most Iconic Artist 2021-22 in an Award Ceremony which was held at Planet Hollywood, Goa. Ali was presented with the award to recognize and appreciate his 16 years in the entertainment industry.
The talented actor has over 1000 episodes of television content and 1000 hours of live shows under his belt for which he was recognized. Apart from being a great actor and DJ, Ali is also an anchor and music producer.
Commenting on the occasion Ali said: “It always feels special when you’re awarded for the hard work you have done and for an artist being normal is a disaster, we require motivation regularly. Awards surely motivate me to do better and better every time.”
In his boundless career, Ali has been featured as a lead character in shows like Sadda Haq, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Amber Dhara, etc. The characters he played on the small screen have gained much love over the decades due to his dedication and diligence.
In his acceptance speech, Merchant said, “Thanks to Times Group for acknowledging my years of dedication and hard work in Live, Fiction & Non-Fiction Entertainment. Thank you to all the channels, labels, club owners, event companies, etc. for making me host gigs for their patrons regularly.”
