Over the last few years, Musicals have made a mark in India, with impressive performance and presentation. Stepping in the genre, with a promise to take you back in time, is Bookmyshow and Disney’s musical, Aladdin, which is all set to premiere in Mumbai.
The show kick-started with a grand premiere which was attended by many eminent personalities, who were awestruck by the performance, so much so that the team received a standing ovation in their very first show. Popular names from Bollywood like Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Ashutosh and Sunita Gowariker, Vidya Balan and many others were present for the special occasion. Aladdin, the musical, is presented with a bit of ‘desi pun’ so as to keep the original essence alive throughout the promising magical experience.
Over the last few months, the team behind the musical has been preparing to their best. With an all Indian cast starring popular theatre actors like Siddharth Menon, Roshan Abbas, Kira Narayanan, Mantra Taruk Raina and many more, Aladdin’s musical treat is here to leave you speechless.
The musical is directed by the experienced Shruti Sharma and choreographed by Jhalak Dikhla Jaa fame Shampa Gopikrishna and Bertwin D’Souza. Ace music director Dhruv Ghanekar has given the music and the costumes are designed by Gavin Miguel.
Over the next few months, Aladdin will also be performed in Delhi and Hyderabad.
