Around a decade back, few students from Pune, theatre enthusiasts, started a group, Natak Company. The aim of this collaboration was to pursue their interest and take the art form to a larger audience. Year after year the team has showcased applause-worthy plays which redefine theatre with the modern thoughts for today's audience.

Time has passed by and Natak company this year completes 10 years. In order to celebrate the success; Siddharth Menon, Amey Wagh, Nipun Dharmadhikari, and many others theatre artists have put together the first ever ‘Natak Company Festival,’ where these talented artists will showcase plays with strong content and messages.

Natak company theatre festival will be held in two cities - Mumbai and Pune, in the first week of this month. The event will be first held in Pune on June 1 and 2, at Yashwantrao Natya Mandir and in Pune on June 5-9, 2018.

Talking about the same, Siddharth Menon, ace actor and a member of the Natak Company said, "The reason behind this festival is purely for celebration. We have performed over 25 plays till date, of which around 10 plays have been highly appreciated, which got the recognition for our group. People are following them even today, and we wanted to thank our audience, in our special way. We are performing in Mumbai because this city has given a lot to us professionally, and we wish we could perform for many more days. Pune has been home always. We have many resources and a strong following of experimental theatre, and so we chose our home city for this festival."

The event will begin with musical performances by eminent musicians and will be attended by many celebrities from the entertainment industry. Further, popular names such as Mithila Palkar, Sai Tamhankar and other will be there to support their friends.
