Considering the extra rush of regular passengers during the holidays, 24 special air-conditioned trains will be run on the Central Railway, as per the report by Loksatta. These trains will provide relief to passengers during Diwali, Chhat Puja holidays.
There were 20 trips of CSMT to Nagpur bi-weekly superfast special trains. Train No. 02139 Super Fast Special Train will depart from CSMT on Mondays and Thursdays at 12:20 pm from October 19 to November 20 and reach Nagpur at 3:30 pm on the same day. Train No. 02140 Super Fast Special will depart from Nagpur at 1:30 pm on Tuesdays and Saturdays from October 21 to November 21 and reach CSMT at 4:10 am on the next day.
Halts: Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Manmad, Bhusawal, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtijapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon and Wardha. The train will have 16 third air-conditioned economy classes and two generator vans. Ticket reservation for this train has started and all passenger reservation is going on at the centre and IRCTC website.
14 weekly special trains will run from LTT to Mangalore
Train No. 01185 will leave LTT from October 20 to December 1 every Friday at 10:15 pm and reach Mangalore Junction at 5:05 pm the next day.
Train No. 01186 will depart Mangaluru Jn at 6:45 pm every Saturday from October 21 to December 2 and reach LTT at 2:25 pm on the next day.
Halts: Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivi, Karmali, Madgaon, Karwar, Gokarna Road, Kumtha, Murudeshwar, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road, Kundura Road , halting at Udupi, Mulki, Surathkal and Thokur.

12 rounds will run between Chhapra-LTT-Siwan
Train No. 05063 Chhapra- LTT- Siwan air-conditioned weekly super fast special train will run every Friday from October 20 to November 24. It will leave Chhapra at 4:15 pm and reach LTT at 7:25 am next day. Train No. 05064 Air Conditioned Special will depart from LTT from October 22 to November 26 at 12:45 pm on Sunday and reach Siwan at 3:15 pm the next day.

The train will have a total of 22 LHB coaches comprising 20 third air-conditioned economy class and 2 generator cars. Reservations for this train will start on October 16 at all passenger reservation centres and on the IRCTC website with special charges
