Due to the heavy rainfall on Monday morning, there have been complaints of waterlogging at various parts of the city. BEST has taken to its Twitter handle to announce that 24 routes have been diverted due to waterlogging. These routes are in Hindmata and Sewri area.

It later updated that as on 9:10am the routes affected at Hindmata have been restored.
The area around Hindmata usually gets flooded whenever there is heavy rainfall in the area and Monday morning was no different.
On Monday morning, Mumbaikars were in for a surprise as heavy rain lashed the city. According to IMD, Mumbai and its surrounding areas received moderate to heavy rains in the last 24 hrs. Most of it occurred since early morning hrs with thunder. The intensity was much higher on the Colaba side with ~ 60+ mm of rainfall. Even Thane and Navi Mumbai received heavy falls.

Mahesh Palawat, Vice president Meteorology and Climate Change at Skymet, on the other hand, informed that while Santacruz recorded 101 mm of rainfall, many places in the suburbs remained dry.
