The Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) has added 10 new electric buses in its fleet. The Regional Transport Department approved the buses and it was flagged off from Dharavi.

After BEST slashed its prices and with the minimum ticket now costing just ₹5, the demand for it has been increased drastically among commuters. To cater to the increasing demand, BEST will be adding 3000 more buses to its fleet. Taking into account the environmental concern, there will be 400 electric buses included with the new 3000 buses.
BEST had recently signed up on Twitter to address customer grievances for its transport and electricity services. It will further use Twitter as a platform to make their official announcements. It has also announced that it will soon start a ladies special bus.
