Lower Parel's Dilail Road bridge is set to be demolished and the work for the same will be conducted from February 2. Accordingly, the Western Railways will be organising an 11-hour-long megablock. The megablock will last from Saturday, 9:30 pm to Sunday, 9:00 am between Churchgate and Dadar. During which, no trains would be running between Dadar and Churchgate.
However, in order to avoid any inconvenience to the general public, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) will run extra buses during the megablock at Western Railways.
The special bus service will be run between the following route:
Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk (Churchgate Station East) - Maharshi Karve Marg Pt. Paluskar Chowk (Charni Road) - Dr. Madkamkar Marg (Grant Road) - Dr. Anandrao Nair (Mumbai Central) - Saint Gadge Maharaj Chowk (Mahalaxmi) - Dr. E Moses Marg - H U Rakhange Chowk - Senapati Bapat Marg - Karmaveer Vitthalrao Vasak Chowk (Lower Parel) - Parel ST Depot - Senapati Bapat Marg - Shardashram Vidyalaya - Bhavani Shankar Marg - Dadar Kabutar Khana - Dadar Station (W)
BEST Corporation will be running three buses from Churchgate Depot and three buses from the Worli Depot. The bus company will be issuing different tickets for the special bus service during the megablock.
