Ravindra Kashinath Waghmare (42), the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) employee who suffered a stroke of paralysis, died during treatment. The employee was under treatment since the last week at the Sion Hospital.

On the fourth day of the BEST employees' strike, Waghmare suffered a paralysis attack. The deceased worked at the transport company's Deonar depot and had left from his residence at Kharghar on Friday. However, after he reached Deonar depot, at around 8:00 am, he suffered a paralysis attack.

Later he was admitted to Govandi Hospital where the doctors advised to shift him to Sion Hospital. However, as per the doctors, all the vital organs started to fail and his left side was adversely affected.

Waghmare breathed his last on January 20. He is succeeded by his wife and a daughter.
