Local trains leaving Dadar will now depart from Parel station from September 15. This change has been made for the widening of Dadar Platform No. 1. As Dadar’s platform no. 1 and 2 have narrow pathways, it easily gets crowded posing danger to the passengers. To avoid the rush of the passengers, Dadar’s platform no. 1 is being widened. Hence, local trains running from Dadar will now depart from Parel from September 15.

The width of platform no. 1 will be increased

The width of platform number 1 is less. However, since slow local trains run here, it is always crowded with passengers. Due to this there is also fear of accidents. This is the reason why Central Railway has decided to widen the platform. From September 15, 2023 for the infrastructure work of widening of Dadar Platform No. 1, trains that halt at Dadar platform no. 1 will now halt at Parel and will be the boarding station for the passengers who earlier used to board the train from Dadar’s platform no. 1.
