The Central Railways will operate a special night traffic block on the Up and Down slow lines between Vidyavihar and Kanjurmarg from 00.30 hrs to 05.30 hrs on November 14 (intervening night of November 13-14) for the de-launching of old warren ‘N’ type foot over bridge at the middle of Vikhroli station.
Owing to this block the suburban train running pattern will be as under:
• Down slow line services leaving Matunga from 00.05 hrs to 05.21 hrs will be diverted on Down fast line between Matunga and Mulund stations.
• Up slow line services leaving Mulund from 00.27 hrs to 05.23 hrs will be diverted on Up fast line between Mulund and Matunga stations.
• Slow line services will not be available at Vidyavihar, Kanjurmarg and Nahur during the block period.
The authorities have urged passengers to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused due to this infrastructure upgrade block.
On the other hand, the railways are likely to reduce the fare prices of AC trains that will be based on the metro fare structure decided by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) or the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
In other developments, a ticket checker was allegedly assaulted by a group of women passengers at Nahur railway station on the Central Line of the Mumbai suburban railway network.
