There have been changes in the water service between JNPT port and Gateway of India in Mumbai. Accordingly, the JNPT Transport Department has informed that the ferry departing from JNPT will go to Bhaucha Dhakka instead of Gateway of India between December 11 and 14.
This change in water transport is due to the Navy's program at Gateway of India. For the four months of the rainy season, the ferry from JNPT goes till Bhaucha Dhakka (Ferry Wharf Jetty). Post monsoon, the ferry travels till Gateway Of India. In this regard, the Transport Department of JNPT has released a circular.
Both Mora and JNPT ports in Uran are running water services. Both these services run during the rainy season as well. The service from JNPT to Gateway of India runs for eight months. It changes during monsoons.
