The rush of outbound travellers increases during the Christmas and New Year holidays. 14 Christmas/New Year special trains will be run between Panvel and Madgaon to split the excess crowd. These trains will run from December 22 to January 2.
Train No. 01427 Panvel – Madgaon from December 22nd to 31 (6 Rounds) will leave Panvel at 9:10 pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and reach Madgaon Junction at 6:50 am the next day.

Train No. 01428 Madgaon – Panvel
From December 22 to 31 (6 Rounds) will depart every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 am and reach Panvel at 8:15 pm. This train will stop at Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivi and Karamali stations. This train will have 22 coaches and 6 air-conditioned third coaches, 4 sleepers, 12 ordinary second class guards and brake vans.
Train No. 01430 Madgaon – Panvel New Year Special train will depart from Madgaon at 9:00 pm (one round) on January 1 and reach Panvel at 7:20 am the next day. Train No. 01429 Panvel – Madgaon New Year Special train will leave Panvel on 2 January at 8:20 am (one round) and reach Madgaon at 9:30 pm. This train will stop at Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivi and Karamali stations. This train has 22 coaches and will have 6 air-conditioned third coaches, 4 sleepers, 12 ordinary second class guards and brake vans. The Central Railway administration informed that the reservation of all these four trains will start soon.
