Mumbai Airport plans to initiate the elimination of boarding pass stamping for all domestic flights from Terminal 2 and this move is said to help the passengers save their time during their travels.

The implementation of the same will make Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport the first airport in the country to introduce a technology-driven 'digital' initiative, Digi-Yatra.  This move will also ensure that the commuters verify their boarding pass at the security checkpoint by scanning the 'boarding pass barcode' or 'QR code' on their phones.

With this, the security personnel wouldn’t have to stamp the boarding pass and this will provide an easy solution in going through the security check at the airport.

Passengers travelling via the international airport will be able to authenticate their boarding pass via scanning the barcode or QR code of the same through e-gate reader at the security checkpoint, using Live Passenger Dataset.
