On the occasion of Ganpati Visarjan, people from all across the state be visiting Mumbai to witness one of the most culturally radiant events of the year. Lakhs of visitors along with the devotees will be seen at Lalbaug, Girgaon Chowpatty, and Dadar Chowpatty to see the grand event take place. Alongside, devotees would be rushing to catch the last glimpse of Lalbaugcha Raja and therefore, the city's transportation will witness rush. 

Therefore, Western Railways has decided to aid these people and accordingly, the fast trains will be functional on the slow track to ensure maximum people can benefit from the rail services on the day.

Western Railways will not be running any fast trains from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm between Mumbai Central and Churchgate station. Therefore, the trains will halt at Grant Road, Charni Road, Marine Lines, Churchgate.

However, after 8:30 pm, i.e. the peak hours, fast trains will run normally and make no stops at the stations between Mumbai Central and Churchgate.

Meanwhile, the decision by Railways is expected to benefit numerous devotees who will witness an increase in the number of local trains running after Ganpati Visarjan.
