Some good news for Mumbaikars as the railway could start direct local train service between Goregaon and Panvel and a proposal regarding the same is in the pipeline. The Central Railway has decided to conduct a trial on the route. However, the official date regarding the same hasn’t been announced yet.
If the trial is successful, thousands of commuters will be benefited and it will ease their travel between Goregaon and Panvel.
Currently, the railway offers local train service from Panvel to Andheri on Harbour line. With the administration’s plan to initiate the service from Goregaon, the commuters won’t have to change trains at Andheri.

The officials informed that in a few months, the train will start after successful trial. Moreover, the railway administration has also decided to introduce other facilities on the harbour line.
