After the Indian intelligence agencies received information about a possible terrorist attack at crowded railway stations, the Railway Police have increased the security at all Railway stations and a high alert for the same has been issued. The police have conducted search operations on long-distance trains, at railway stations, and have detained suspects in the case.
The officials have been advised not to let an atmosphere of panic develop under such circumstances and immediately, the information about suspicious objects must be handed over to the police officers. As per the sources, terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba will be attempting to make way into Mumbai through sea route.

Accordingly, the security at the seacoasts of Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, and Raigad have also been increased.
After the Pulwama terrorist attacks, intelligence agencies have warned the government that they will attack other parts of the country. Earlier on February 20, a bomb was found on an ST bus at Raigad. Luckily, the bomb was diffused by the police.
