On Monday, April 11, Maharashtra Transport Minister, Anil Parab, mentioned that there is a provision in the rules that if a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) staffer is found to be involved in any serious crime, the individual can be removed from service, stated reports.

In addition to this, Parab remarked that strict action will be taken against those who participated in the protest outside NCP Chief Sharad Pawar’s residence, highlighted accounts.

Based on narratives, on Monday, the MSRTC conducted a meeting to discuss a multitude of facets that include the likes of what needs to be done about those workers who will resume duty following a five-month strike.

Moreover, the 109 employees who were arrested following the protest outside Pawar’s home are in judicial custody, the MSRTC management will be checking the charges applied and assessing what has come out during the investigation.

A senior official was quoted in reports elaborating on how in accordance with the offence’s nature and involvement, action will be taken. The official added that they have decided to not take action against those workers who were on strike and will be resuming duties latest by April 22 in cognizance of the order by the Bombay High Court.
