Cash-strapped Jet Airways had shut down its operation on April 18, 2019. Recently Naresh Goyal, founder of Jet Airways, had written a heartfelt letter to his employees.
Jet had shut down all its offices in major cities and only its Mumbai and Delhi office was operational where commuters whose tickets got cancelled could fill a form in these offices and apply for a refund. However, after the closure of these offices, the passengers have nowhere to go.
Notably, Jet Airways' pilots had moved to the Supreme Court for interim funding from SBI. The shutdown has affected over 22,000 employees.
