With the metro work being ongoing across the city, excavations have been carried out at various places in Mumbai.

Due to the excavation, the road was constructed by throwing iron sheets as an alternative route for the transporters. However, the road constructed in the same Mahim section is in a bad condition. Therefore, the traffic police department has informed the commuters that this road will be constructed anew.

Moreover, metro work in the Mahim area has created an empire of potholes due to which the chances of an accident are high. As a result, the transporters have to travel with great effort. Therefore, a new road will be constructed to relieve these passengers.

The road will be constructed using cement-concrete. Meanwhile, the road leading from Bandra to Dadar will be closed for this construction from January 9 to January 13, 2021. As a result, traffic from Bandra will be diverted from the Mori Road to the Senapati Bapat Marg and SVS Road, one-way from Mahim Junction towards Dadar. If you want to travel in this route, you have to take left from Mahim Junction to Mori Road, right towards Senapati Bapat Marg, left through Sitladevi Road, then proceed to LJ Road.

On the other hand, SVS Road from Hari Om Junction to Mahim Junction will be closed for vehicular traffic towards Bandra. The traffic towards Bandra will proceed by taking a right turn from Hari Om Junction to Sitladevi Road, then left turn towards LJ Road.

However, vehicular traffic from Sitladevi Road towards north will not be diverted. Barricading will be done on the south-bound road at Mahim Junction. Moreover, Saint Mary Road from Haribahu Vadgaonkar Chowk towards Dallas Kolu Chowk will be closed for vehicular traffic till January 31. There will be no parking on this road on account of excavation work

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) has completed construction of all the slabs at the Seepz station in Mumbai. With this, MMRC has completed “Package 7” of the construction of slabs at three stations, namely, Marol Naka, MIDC and now Seepz. Earlier, the officials had informed that the underground work has been completed 100 per cent in four out of the seven packages on the proposed Metro 3 project. The underground work in "Package 4" was a bit of a challenge as all the development works in this package were closer to road transports and religious places of worship.
