The most awaited Metro-4 and Metro 4-A are being constructed between Wadala-Kasarvadavali-Gaumukh. 58 percent construction of Metro-4 while 61 percent work of Metro 4-A has been completed. Under this scheme, stainless steel, plumbing, tiles, paint, plaster, installation of deck rooftop and other facilities will be developed at the station. This service will be started in two phases on the metro line connecting Thane to Mumbai.


In the first phase, the metro will run between Ghodbunder and Mulund, as per the information given by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). The MMRDA said that work is underway to start metro services on the first phase of Metro 4 corridor by 2025. However, passengers may have to wait till 2026-27 to travel on this metro line.

Meanwhile, Ghodbunder Road metro line from Mulund to Thane is under construction. The construction of the station along with the metro line is also going on at a fast pace. More than 50 percent of the civil work of many stations on this route has been completed. The MMRDA has now started preparations to start the civil works of the station as well as finishing work of seven stations in the first phase.


Under this, seven stations will be constructed between Mulund Fire and Majiwada Junction. It has been told that approximately INR 198 crore will be spent to complete this work. The MMRDA has started searching for a contractor to start the finishing work.
