Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has decided to add 34 additional buses to cater to the needs of the commuters.

With increase in the number of people travelling between Mumbai and Pune, Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has decided to add 34 more buses to cater to the needs of the commuters. These MSRTC buses will be air-conditioned.

Due to incessant rains, the train services between Mumbai and Pune had been affected and roadway traffic had also slowed down. Currently, there are 304 MSRTC buses plying on the Mumbai-Pune route from Dadar, Borivali and Thane. 

Chief Public Relations officer of MSRTC Abhijit Bhosale stated that with an increase in demand for buses, the additional service will be continued till the railway services are normalised.
