In a record-breaking statistic, Mumbai airport on Saturday managed almost 1,004 aircraft movements in just 24 hours breaking its previous world record. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport handled these flight movements successfully on a single runway. 

Earlier in June this year, the international airport set a record of managing 1,003 flights including their takeoff and landings in 24 hours. With the new statistic, Mumbai Airport has broken its own record.

Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) spokesperson informed that Mumbai Airport has broken its world record of managing 1,003 flights on June 6, 2018. The spokesperson further informed that on an average the airport handles 950 daily flights. Earlier in February, the airport managed 980 flights followed by 988 in June.
