The flagging off of the much-awaited 19th Vande Bharat express between Mumbai-Goa has been cancelled for today, June 3, after collision between Coromandel Express and a freight train took place on Friday, June 2, in Odisha.

As per reports, there is no fixed date on when the train will be scheduled to run. Moreover, there is no clarity whether the train will depart with or without a grand flagging off ceremony.

The Indian Railways had planned a flag-off ceremony with much fanfare and depature scheduled at 10:45 am.

Speeches from Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was also planned along with showcasing train's benefit.

It is pertinent to note that a day ahead of the launch, on Friday, June 2, the railways had carried out a last trial runs and inspect the mechanical and electrical workings if this train at Madgaon station.

Earlier, it was stated that the train will begin its regular services from June 4 taking commuters through the scenic view of the nature in Konkan.

Route: 

The Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat train will have a total of 7 stops in 586km route, which will be covered in 7 hours and 50 minutes. During a trial between CSMT and Madgaon on May 16, the train covered the distance in around seven hours.

It will halt at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Khed, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Thivim.

Timings:

The train will run 6 days a week, except Fridays. 

Mumbai Goa Vande Bharat Express regular timetable has not been released, the train is likely to depart from CSMT at 5.25 am and reach Madgaon at 1.15 pm.

The train will depart from Madgaon on the same day at 2.35 pm and reach CSMT at 10.25 pm.

Fare:

The price range can be between INR 1,100 and INR 1,600 for an AC Chair Car and for the Executive Class category it is between INR 2,000 and INR 2,800. The official ticket price of the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express is yet to be announced.

However, the standard price of the Vande Bharat Express Train varies depending on the distance covered and different classes of train.
