Maha Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7 emerged as the city’s lifeline when pre-monsoon showers brought traffic to a standstill across Mumbai on Tuesday, May 20. It carried over 2.65 lakh commuters safely to their destinations.
As roads were clogged with traffic and waterlogged stretches, the metro came to the rescue of Mumbaikars as a reliable alternative mode of transport.

Lines 2A (Dahisar East to DN Nagar) and 7 (Dahisar East to Gundavali) have helped reduce traffic in the north-south areas, especially during bad weather. Since trains run on time and frequently, more people are choosing the metro.
“Monsoon or summers, season after season—we’re here for you. Maha Mumbai Metro. Reliable. Resilient. With you, always,” the Metro stated in a message to the public.
