The number of passengers on 'Dahisar - Andheri 2A' and Dahisar - Gundavali Metro 7' routes crossed 2.5 lakh on Monday. Therefore, both these pathways have crossed an important stage. The first phase of Metro '2A' and 'Metro 7' lines of the 337 km metro project of Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) was commissioned in April 2022, while the second phase was commissioned on January 19, 2023.


In the first phase, an average of 30,500 passengers were travelling on this route per day. However, after the second phase was put into service, traffic started on both these routes at full capacity. After that the number of passengers started increasing day by day. In January 2023, the number of passengers was 30,500 per day. It directly reached 1 lakh 60 thousand per day.

By the end of June, the number of daily passengers crossed the two lakh mark. So now at the end of October, on Monday, October 30, the number of daily passengers has reached two and a half lakhs. Currently, a mega block is being taken for the work of the sixth line between Mumbai Central - Borivali on the Western Railway line. Due to this, many local trains have been cancelled. Due to this, passengers are suffering a lot. But Metro has come to the rescue of passengers. This is said to have helped increase the number of passengers of 'Metro 2A' and 'Metro 7'.
