Harbour Line services disrupted due to crack on railway line

Trains from Panvel to CSMT are running late amid the crack on railway track between Kurla and Tilak Nagar railway station on the Harbour line

Lakhs of Mumbaikars are already facing trouble amid the BEST workers' strike. Meanwhile, the functioning of the Harbour line was disrupted on Monday morning due to a crack discovered on the railway tracks between Kurla and Tilak Nagar railway station. 

The trains from Panvel to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) are running late. This has caused a lot of problem for the commuters. On the first day of the week, most of the commuters were late for their work. 

In the first month of the new year, the central railway services have been disrupted four times. On January 2, the railway traffic was affected due to the same problem near Sion railway station.

Earlier, a goods train was halted between Asangaon and Atgaon due to the engine failure. Another engine failure of a goods train was reported between Ambernath and Badlapur on January 5.
